An outdoor laser show starts at the venue

A square, festival site or water feature can be a special setting for lasers. Outdoors, the surroundings largely determine the result. Therefore, we first examine the location, the time and the position of the audience.

What does the audience see from that spot?

We look at ambient light, sightlines and potential positions for the lasers. We take buildings, trees and existing lighting into account. A photo or floor plan helps to make the initial discussion concrete.

The time also matters. On a bright summer evening, the conditions are different from on a dark winter evening. We discuss what that means for the desired moment of the show.

The weather is part of the preparation

At an outdoor show, we discuss in advance how we will deal with changing conditions. Wind, precipitation and thunderstorms can have an impact on the performance.

What measures are needed and when a show must be adapted or postponed depends on the location and the production. We make those arrangements together with the parties involved.

It also needs to fit behind the scenes

We agree on where equipment can be placed or hung, what power supply is available, and when the setup can take place. The necessary safety arrangements and any required permissions are also discussed during the preparation.
